About Shear Israel Messianic Assembly
We believe and accept the covenant offer Yahweh (God) made in Exodus 19:5 “And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine – and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation.”
We diligently observe Yahweh’s (God) covenant instructions (Exodus 20:1-Leviticus 27:34) for those aspects we can do, while recognizing there are things which are either impossible to do currently, or which have been fulfilled by Yeshua (Jesus) Messiah as High Priest, Sacrificial Lamb of Atonement, and King of Judah. As for the rest of the Torah, this we do, diligently, as instructed by Yahweh (God) and His Messenger, Master Yeshua (Jesus) (Matthew 5:17-19, 7:21; John 1:1, 14:23-24, & 15:10, ). We see Yeshua (Jesus) observing Yahweh’s Torah and Prophets His entire life – He was, after all, perfect and without sin (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15, 9:14; 1 Peter 1:19, 2:22; 1 John 3:5).
We believe the “Old Testament” and “New Testament” are completely harmonious in all respects. The New does not somehow cancel out the Old, as though it no longer applies. The character of Yahweh is not different in any way, in either of the writings. He is the same yesterday and today – immutable (Numbers 23:19; Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8; James 1:17). 7th Day Shabbat is a sign forever between Yahweh and His people Israel (Exodus 31:16,17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20:20, ). Comprehending that during Y’shua’s (Jesus) days walking the earth in the flesh, and afterwards during the lives of the disciples, none of the New Covenant writings existed, we see the Torah and Prophets are the foundation of the New Covenant writings.
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Yahweh (God )(Romans 3:23), and that with the grace Yahweh (God) afforded us through His anointed Son’s sacrificial offer, we have eternal life.
We reject any doctrines conflicting with Scripture as such is part of Yahweh’s (God) conditional covenant offer – we are to guard the covenant, diligently. (Exodus 19:5; Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32; Proverbs 32:6; John 1:1, 14:15, 15:10; Revelation 22:19).
Observing Yahweh’s instructions (Torah) as best we can, is what we believe it means to “Love the Lord your God with all your mind, heart, and strength,” and how His grace is dispensed per His Word – the covenant Yahweh (God) specifically offered (Exodus 19:5). As any loving son submits and honors his father, in spite of potential shortcomings, so we too seek to do this at the eternal level with Yahweh. Abba’s (Father’s) promised blessings which follow are simply amazing (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
Following Abba’s instructions, we take great joy in assembling for His appointed times, celebrating and praising Him, and learning more each time. We are a Messianic Assembly serving Austin, Texas, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, and extending to Copperas Cove.
